City Heights Announces Free Community Shuttle Service, Mid-City Go! Launching February 3rd
In partnership with North Park Main Street, Clean Mobility Options (CMO), California Climate Investments (CCI), and the State of California Energy Commission, City Heights CDC is launching the first-ever eco-friendly shuttle service connecting the City Heights and North Park areas.
Mid City Go! is an all-electric shuttle experience offering an alternative mobility option in City Heights and North Park. This project is fully funded for three years and will provide convenient and efficient transportation between the neighborhoods, connecting the Mid-City area. The pilot program makes this service free within the select service area and schedule. It is an on-demand service, similar to popular rideshare apps, using the Via San Diego app. Riders can order the shuttle service through the app with real-time updates on the driver’s location and estimated arrival time.
Follow this step-by-step guide to download the Via San Diego App and start riding today.
Key details about the service:
The schedule is designed to serve all residents. We anticipate the service will be widely used by morning and evening commuters, elderly, mobility-limited, and young people. It’s especially convenient for locals who need a ride around the neighborhood.
The service operates with two vehicles, each seating four passengers.
One vehicle is wheelchair-accessible.
