Celebrating Black History Month: Entesar, Mom and Creative

This month, we celebrate Black history, culture, and people in a special series showing appreciation for our Black residents.

Meet Entesar, Mom of Four and Creative Artist

Born in Sudan, Entesar now lives in City Heights with her family. She spends her days nurturing her four children while managing the many responsibilities of an at-home parent.

Entesar is an active member of her housing community, regularly visiting our Resident Services center and participating in programs. Time and time again, she has generously contributed to our programs by preparing home-cooked meals for fellow residents and creating DIY party decorations and balloon arches.

Her creativity is also her hustle. During graduation season and special occasions, she handcrafts garlands and fruit art, turning her talents into a business.

Entesar is a resilient woman, and we are grateful for her generosity, creativity, and heart.
