Meet Our New Executive Director!!
City Heights Community Development Corporation is thrilled to announce the appointment of Alexis Villanueva as our new Executive Director. This is a significant milestone for our organization, and we couldn’t be more excited to have Alexis leading us into the future.
Alexis has been an invaluable member of City Heights CDC, bringing a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities faced by the City Heights community. Raised in the very community she serves, Alexis’s unwavering passion for creating positive change in City Heights is evident in her remarkable achievements.
She joined the organization as the Senior Program Manager of Economic Development, quickly proving herself as an exceptional leader and advocate. Within less than two years, Alexis was promoted to the position of Director of Economic Development, where she played a pivotal role in driving sustainable growth and enhanced development strategies. In December 2022, Alexis began leading City Heights CDC as the Interim Executive Director, further solidifying her commitment to the City Heights CDC mission and impact.
Alexis’s extensive background in community-driven initiatives, combined with her dedication to fostering equitable and sustainable neighborhoods, embodies the very essence of what City Heights CDC stands for. Her collaborative approach to leadership has been a catalyst for strengthened relationships with stakeholders and partners, elevating our organization’s impact within City Heights.
With over 15 years of experience in nonprofit management, Alexis brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her new role. Her impressive track record in implementing innovative programs and advocating for policies that address socioeconomic disparities will undoubtedly enhance our work in creating a vibrant and thriving City Heights community.
