Welcome to Tierra Central!
Tierra Central is a public space made in community, for community with the belief that we have the power to create the kind of neighborhoods we want to live in—but nobody is going to hand it to us.
As the world reopens in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, our City Heights neighbors are hungry for ways to safely enjoy community and we have established Tierra Central to be exactly that!
Check the calendar below for upcoming community events.
Upcoming Events…
July 15 - “Piece X Piece” Mural Dedication (11-1pm)
August 5 - Soul Food Fest
Former Events…
August 4 - MTS Social Equity Listening Tour
August 6 - Soul Food Fest
August 7 - Jamaican Independence Day (12-6pm)
Sept 17 - Mid Autumn Festival (12-8pm)
Dec 17 - Snow Play Day Event

Eventually, the event space known as Tierra Central will become a new mixed-used affordable housing complex. Every City Heights resident knows the burden of housing in our community, and that’s why we prioritize safe, quality, affordable housing in City Heights that will help keep people in the community and avoid displacement.
Thanks to all of you for your support, and stay tuned for more updates on the space!
