Rickie Brown serves as the property manager of our Hollywood Palms apartment complex, but that title doesn’t do her justice. Her work is about much more than just collecting checks, and she’s a passionate advocate for her neighbors. (read more here)

Rickie has a long history advocating for her City Heights community. As an activist, she led an advocacy group by lobbying in Sacramento around local disparities here in City Heights and particularly encouraging more affordable housing in the state. Rickie also participated in regional and statewide discussions about strategies to reform the housing budget and continued advocacy training for boots-on-the-ground leaders.

Currently, Rickie sits on the Democrats for Equality Board and the Martin Luther King Democratic Board as a member of Better Build San Diego Coalition and Resident United Network.  She is also a past member of the City Heights Redevelopment PAC, City Heights Area Planning Committee, City Heights Town Council and the Citizens Police Review Board and has served as an executive member of the Fox Canyon Neighborhood Association.

Her professional background also includes case management, budget coordination, and business development.
